Fangye & Dirk
The Adventurers behind Aliveness Cycling
Fangye is Chinese and, as a master student of tourism, one of her visions was to market South America as an attractive destination for travellers.
Dirk is Canadian, Chilean, and German, founder of Canigou Cycling/Aliveness Cycling and Associate Professor at the University of Girona. His mother is from Chile and much of our family lives in Santiago de Chile. Dirk has visited the country extensively and for more than a decade it has been his vision to offer cycling tours to Chile.
Fun fact: the Atacama Desert is where Dirk’s parents went for their honeymoon.
